Common ports #

Firewall rules are defined on a per-port basis. To help you quickly configure your firewall, this table provides you with an overview and explanation of the most common ports.

Service Port Information
SSH 22 This port needs to be accessible in order to SSH into your server. The port is open, by default and should not be modified.
HTTP 80 This port needs to be accessible in order to access an application via a domain-based endpoint that is not secured by a TLS certificate, such as http://example.com.
HTTPS 443 This port needs to be accessible in order to access an application via a domain-based endpoint that is secured by a TLS certificate, such as https://example.com.
MySQL 3306 This port needs to be accessible in order to access a MySQL database from your computer or a server different from the current one.
PostgreSQL 5432 This port needs to be accessible in order to access a PostgreSQL database from your computer or a server different from the current one.
Redis 6379 This port needs to be accessible in order to access a Redis database from your computer or a server different from the current one.
