Select the cloud providers that fit you best

The first step in hosting your application in the cloud is renting a server from a cloud provider. Nowadays, there are several popular options which all have their own offering. However, ideally you do not want to put all your eggs into one basket. But, renting servers from different cloud providers implies that you have to use different control panels. This makes it hard to keep track of the state of each server and slows down maintenance.

Smoothy eliminates this nuisance, by enabling you to rent and manage your servers from different world-leading cloud providers all through one and the same easy-to-use interface. This way, you prevent vendor lock-in and are free to decide which cloud providers fit your budget and resource requirements best. If you, at a certain point in time, want to migrate to a different provider, you can do so, all via the same familiar interface.

Automagically configure your servers

Small to medium-sized applications usually run on a single server, while high-traffic business-critical applications need a more advanced hosting solution. In the latter case, different servers, optionally spread across multiple geographical locations and cloud providers, are grouped together to act as one large system. Based on your application's needs, you can instruct Smoothy to obtain one or more servers from your preferred cloud providers, and automatically configure them as single Docker servers or as a highly-available Kubernetes cluster.

Manage your servers through our granny-proof interface

Rather than having to dive deep into your terminal to update the configuration of your server, you can use our granny-proof interface and let Smoothy do the work for you. All technical concepts are translated into easy to understand visual forms, so that every software developer is able to manage its own server.

Scale from local to global

Scale from local to global

Scale your servers up and down with a single click off a button. This way you keep your applications running at peak performance during traffic spikes while reducing costs during quiet periods.
Automatic security updates

Automatic security updates

All servers provisioned by Smoothy will automatically install security updates on a daily-basis. This reduces the likelihood that an attacker will be able to exploit a security vulnerability.
Configure your server's firewall

Configure your server's firewall

The first line of defense in your network is your firewall. It controls who can access the server and who cannot, based on a simple set of rules which you can configure through a graphical user interface.

Deploy any application stack in seconds

Modern applications consist of dozens of services such as databases, queues, search engines, messaging systems, and more. To facilitate the process of installing these services, Smoothy provides you with an extensive catalog of the most popular services that you can install on your servers with a single click of a button.

That is why Smoothy out of the box comes with a sensible default configuration for the most popular services and allows you to tweak the configuration to your needs using a custom graphical user interface.

DNS management

When you obtain a domain name from your favorite registrar, you can manage its DNS records through the user-interface of Smoothy. This way, you can easily point your domain and subdomains to your applications, without having to copy and paste IP addresses or leave the cloud platform at all.

Serve your application using free TLS certificates

TLS certificates are an essential part of every online application. Without a valid certificate, an application is prone to hackers and will be marked nonsecure by modern web browsers. To route all traffic over the secure https:// protocol, Smoothy automatically issues and installs a free TLS certificate, as soon as a domain-based endpoint is created for an application.

Endpoints

Manage the endpoints to your application, named Website Tesla. You can create unsecure http:// endpoints for testing purposes, or secure domain-based https:// endpoints for production.
